and finally on January 11, the company has officially
announced their first step into the Indian phablet market segment with
the launch of their 5 inch handset -
Lava Iris 501 - the company's first
phablet with dual SIM support running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
OS.
Above all the most attractive aspect of the newly launched
handset is the pricing, as confirmed by the Lava spokesperson, Iris 501
will be available in the market at a price of around Rs 9,999.
Well,
this definitely seems to be quite a decent market price range as
compared to other dual core phablets present in India right now, which
generally fall in the sub Rs 12,000 range. Hence, lets take a detailed
