Samsung has officially announced Galaxy Music with 3-inch display, Android 4.0

Samsung Galaxy Music comes with a 3-inch display, 3MP rear camera with fixed focus, Android 4.0, FM Radio and a dedicated music key.

According to Samsung, the smartphone also comes with dual frontal stereo speakers and advanced audio features such as Sound Alive & SRS.

The smartphone was first spotted in the official list of Samsung smartphones set to receive Jelly Bean update, and was later leaked with full set of specifications.

There is no word about the launch date or pricing of the smartphone.

This is the first smartphone from the company targeted at music lovers looking for an entry-level smartphone. Company has however launched several Galaxy Player devices, which also run on Android, but do not feature cellular connectivity.

Detailed Description:

With a music-centric entry-level smartphone, Samsung apparently aims to target its youth customers. The Galaxy Music, which had recently leaked ahead of official announcement, comes with various music-oriented features such as two front-facing speakers, a dedicated button to access music and video playback support. Being a music phone, the device supports a wide range of audio formats like MP3, OGG, ACC, ACC +, eACC +, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, WAV, MID, IMY, FLAC and WMA. Moreover, the Galaxy Music has an integrated FM tuner with RDS technology and also features the Samsung Touchwiz user interface.  

Other specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Music include a 3-inch touchscreen with 320 x 240 pixels resolution, 3MP fixed rear camera with no flash, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available supporting storage up to 32GB. The processor details haven't been disclosed yet. The device comes with a 1,300mAh battery.

 

For connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Music supports GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v3.0 and USB 2.0. The device comes preloaded with various applications such as Samsung ChatON IM, Google Play, Gmail, Google Search, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Plus.
